INSTALLATION

Precision Installation for a Stunning Staircase

Installing hardwood stairs is a meticulous and time-consuming project that demands precision and expertise. Your staircase is more than just a functional feature—it’s often a focal point that enhances the beauty and character of your home.

Perfect installation is our priority, and we take pride in ensuring it is executed with the utmost care and attention to detail. From precise measuring and cutting to seamless fitting and finishing, our team brings craftsmanship and dedication to every step of the process, creating a flawless, elegant staircase that elevates your space and stands the test of time.

REFINISHING

Transform Carpet-Covered Stairs

Our crew can expertly refinish carpet-covered stairs, giving them a stunning new look. Here’s what you can expect during the process:

  1. Carpet Removal:

    • We’ll remove the carpeting, whether it’s installed in separate pieces or as one continuous wrap.

    • Tack strips and staples will be carefully removed to expose the underlying hardwood.

  2. Sanding, Staining, and Finishing:

    • After exposing the hardwood, we sand the surface to smooth imperfections.

    • We then apply custom stains to enhance the wood’s natural beauty, followed by a durable finish to protect your stairs.

STAIR PARTS AND DESCRIPTIONS

Understanding Stair Components

Here are the key parts of a staircase, each contributing to its functionality and beauty:

  • TREADS: The horizontal surface of each step that you walk on. Treads can be made of wood, metal, or other materials and may feature non-slip finishes for safety.

  • RISERS: The vertical element between each step, providing height and structure. Risers may be slightly inclined for added comfort when climbing.

  • BANISTER: The long handrail running alongside the staircase, offering support and enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the stairs.

  • STRINGERS: The structural boards on either side of the staircase that support the treads and risers.

  • SPINDLES: Also known as balusters, these vertical supports between the banister and the stairs add decorative detail and safety.
